Chinese New Year
We absolutely loved learning about the Chinese New Year this week. It will fall this Saturday the 28th. We made lanterns with our lovely family today for Family Friday.
The Garage in Aistear
We have absolutely loved learning about the Garage in Aistear. It has been so much fun! We have mechanics working in the garage, children working in the car wash with their ipads and using our water bath. Boys and girls have been designing their own transport pictures and we have enjoyed playing with our cars and mat for Small World.
Music with Máire
We had a lovely visit today from Máire, our old principal. She came and sang some really fun songs! Máire will be doing music with Junior Infants every Wednesday and we can’t wait.
Bird Feeders
We were delighted to hear that our bird food in our bird feeders had all been eaten up! The poor birds must be very hungry in this wintery weather. Here we are checking and refilling them.
Gingerbread Man
As mentioned in our parents letter we will be learning lots of different fairy tales over the next few weeks. We heard the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ today. We really enjoyed it! We then worked together to sequence the story. We made our very own gingerbread men in art which was great fun. We also met the Gingerbread Man and the old woman today in drama.

Pinehill Studios
We really enjoyed our session with Sarah Marie in Pinehill Studios on Tuesday. We played lots of fun games and learned how to do a forward roll! We can’t wait for next week..
